Pass is all you will ever need
to Pass your police Sergeants exam and/or
police Inspectors exam!
PASS
is a computerised CD-ROM that can be
installed onto any computer and can
then be accessed (only on that machine)
to do test questions based on the syllabus
for the OSPRE® Part 1 National Examinations.
PASS must be installed onto a computer before it can be used.
Please note: PASS can be transferred between machines, but can only be on any one machine at any one time.
PASSONLINE is more flexible. You do not need to install anything. PASSONLINE can be accessed at any time (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) on any computer that has internet access. You simply go to the relevant website and login to your account. This therefore eliminates the need to go through the transfer process, as with PASS, whenever you want to do work on a different machine.
PASSONLINE also has some advantages and disadvantages when compared to PASS:
Advantages:
- PASSONLINE has a HALL OF FAME feature that will compare your performance against that of all the other users on the PASSONLINE system, meaning you will be competing nationally against all the other Part 1 candidates
- PASSONLINE is updated automatically if any updates are released to the syllabus meaning that you do not have to download and install any updates to your system.
Disadvantages:
Therefore choosing which product to purchase, whether PASS (a software product) or PASSONLINE (an online services product) is a personal decision based on your individual needs. It is also a decision that should not be taken lightly, but should be weighed up against all the relevant factors.
